Brown University Health Rehabilitation Services Conference Overview
Learn practical strategies to improve outcomes for patients who have complex rehabilitation needs. Discussion will include factors that lead to complexity in rehabilitation, evidence-based treatment strategies, and management of patient and family expectations. An interprofessional panel of speakers will be presenting. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance for six contact hours. Approval by the Rhode Island American Physical Therapy Association (RI APTA) for continuing education units (CEUs) is pending.
Conference Objectives
By the conclusion of this conference, attendees will be able to:
- Describe the diverse group of individuals with complex rehabilitation needs.
- Describe a variety of complex factors that play a role in the delivery of rehabilitation care.
- Explain current approaches to maximizing outcomes for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
- Identify innovative treatment strategies to address fall prevention.
- Optimize patient and family education for patients with complex rehabilitation needs in various rehabilitation settings.
