Safe Sitter

Join the Brown University Health Community Health Institute and Greenville Public Library for a Safe Sitter training session from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. 

The Safe Sitter curriculum is designed exclusively for young teens in grades six through eight, ages 11 to 14 years.

The course covers the following skills: 

• Safety
• Child care
• CPR
• First aid
• Choking rescue
• Life and business

The Community Health Institute is nationally recognized as a Gold-level provider. Safe Sitter courses are instructor-led and interactive, with hands-on demonstrations and skills practice using soft-bodied dolls and medical manikins. 

Registration

The registration fee is $50. Preregistration is required.
