The Miriam Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Recertification by meeting rigorous performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care. This recertification is the fifth time the Total Joint Center has received this designation.

The recertification, offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, focuses on pre-surgical orthopedic consultations, rehabilitation activities post hospitalization or ambulatory surgical center admission, and follow-up visits with the orthopedic surgeon.
