“Find a Doctor” is operated by Brown University Health and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Brown University Health-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.
Megan Conroy, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife
Megan Conroy, CNM, MS, is a certified nurse midwife at Newport Women’s Health.
Conroy previously worked as a registered nurse in an OB-GYN clinic in Worcester, MA. She completed a master’s degree in the Nurse Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University. She is certified in Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association and completed the American Academy of Pediatrics/American Hospital Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program. In addition, Conroy holds an additional certification in fetal heart monitoring from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
Conroy’s philosophy of care is rooted in core feminist values and a longing to create change among marginalized communities, and is grounded in the belief that all people are deserving of evidence-based care. Her practice is rooted in shared decision making, whether it be during labor, menopause, or family planning, and she finds joy in building relationships with patients and collaborating with other clinicians to provide care that is based in knowledge, equity, and justice.
