Outpatient Surgical Guide
At the Ambulatory Outpatient Surgical Center at Rhode Island Hospital, whether your visit is unexpected or the result of a planned procedure, our staff will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable.
Our goal is to make this a positive experience for you. The ambulatory surgical nurse will be your primary resource for care, instruction and support. The nurse shares the responsibility for evaluating and addressing your needs with many members of the health care team. In fact, a team approach-interaction among physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, technicians, support staff and you and your family-is vital to a successful visit.
Don't Wait, Call Ahead
To verify arrival time, please call one to two days prior to your scheduled surgery. You can reach the Outpatient Surgical Center at 401-444-8372. Our hours of operation for receiving phone calls are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We understand that a web site can't replace talking with a member of our health care team, so please don't hesitate to call us with any questions. We look forward to caring for you.
