Conferencia Temas Familiares

Conferencia Temas Familiares is a free, annual, virtual event presented entirely in Spanish, designed to support parents, caregivers, educators, and social workers in the Latine community. This year’s event will be held online from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. 

Hosted by the Brown University Health Community Health Institute and Bradley Hospital, the conference offers up‑to‑date guidance from medical and behavioral health experts on the challenges facing children, adolescents, and the adults who care for them. 

Speakers 

Von Marie Rodríguez‑Guzman, PhD, a staff psychologist with Brown Health’s Clínica Latina, and Martina Azar, PhD, clinical neuropsychologist with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Brown University Health, will discuss concepts of mental health and resilience, myths about mental health, Latino community values that inspire resilience, and emotional regulation skills.
