Brown University Health has been informed by the City of Providence of the following road closures effective August 20, and August 24 and 25, 2025.
These closures are throughout Providence and may impact travel to and from our hospitals and other locations. Patients and staff may need to plan for extra time when traveling to our hospitals and physician offices on these dates.
August 20, 2025 (rescheduled from 8/18)
- Thomas Street will be closed to all traffic and Angell Street will be closed from Prospect Street to Benefit Street.
- Benefit Street will be closed from Waterman Street to Meeting Street.
From 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025 until 9 a.m. on Monday, August 25
- The Point Street Bridge will be closed to all traffic
Updates and additional information, including parking restrictions, will be shared through the City of Providence’s communication channels, including its website, social media and the PVD 311 system.
Closures are due to motion picture production in Providence.
