To Our Community, Patients, and Colleagues:

As we reflect on the past year at Morton Hospital, we do so with deep gratitude and optimism for the future. 2025 marked a significant chapter in our history as we integrated into the renowned Brown University Health system - strengthening our foundation while remaining firmly rooted in the community we are proud to serve.

Throughout the year, Morton Hospital made meaningful investments to expand and enhance the care our team provides. We welcomed new physician specialists to ensure you can receive the care you need close to home; we introduced innovative surgical procedures and purchased state-of-the-art imaging equipment including the latest model of tomosynthesis 3D mammography. We also upgraded our electronic medical record system - an important step that enhances care coordination, improves safety, and strengthens communication across care teams. In addition, we invested in continued improvements to our facility, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of our community today and for years to come.

Quality and safety remain at the center of everything we do. In July, Morton Hospital proudly earned accreditation from The Joint Commission, a reflection of our team’s dedication to the highest standards of care. We were also honored to receive additional awards and recognitions, including our Joint Commission Health Equity Certification and designation as a Surgical Quality Partner from the American College of Surgeons. These distinctions underscore the excellence, compassion, and professionalism our patients experience every day.

None of this progress would be possible without the unwavering support of our community. We are sincerely grateful to those who have stood with us, believing in our mission and helping to ensure that Morton Hospital will continue to serve this region for generations. Your trust inspires us to keep growing, improving, and innovating.

As we look ahead into the New Year, we remain committed to providing the highest quality care, expanding services, and strengthening our role as a trusted community hospital as part of the Brown University Health system and, most importantly, with you.

Thank you for being an essential part of the Morton Hospital family.

With gratitude and appreciation,

Heidi Taylor, Morton Hospital President & VP of Finance
