Lifespan of Massachusetts, Inc. (the “Applicant”), with a principal place of business at 167 Point Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02903, intends to file a request on behalf of Saint Anne’s Hospital, located at 795 Middle Street, Fall River, MA 02721 (the “Hospital”) with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for a Significant Change to Determination of Need (5-3C08) (“DoN”). The DoN was for new construction and renovation of a three-story building on the Hospital’s main campus including 11,476 gross square feet (GSF) of shell space (“Project”). The Applicant now requests approval to build out 6,200 GSF of the previously approved shell space to accommodate one electrophysiology lab and support space (“Proposed Project”). The costs associated with the Proposed Project will increase the total value of the Project by $8,750,000, for a total maximum capital expenditure (MCE) of $30,309,477 (May 2026 dollars). The Applicant does not anticipate any price or service impacts on the Applicant’s existing patient panel as a result of the Proposed Project.
