Medical Director, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Liver Diseases; and Director, Cystic Fibrosis Program

Vania Kasper, MD, is medical director for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Liver Diseases at Hasbro Children's as well as director for the Cystic Fibrosis Program.

Dr. Kasper is associate professor of pediatrics and a clinical educator at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Hasbro Children’s.  She has completed fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Brown University and in pediatric transplant hepatology at Columbia University.

Prior to her fellowship training, she completed a residency and chief residency in pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. 

Dr. Kasper is the medical director of the Children’s Center for Liver Disease and Director of the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center. She enjoys working in obesity management as the pediatric medical advisor for the adolescent bariatric surgery program and working with all levels of learners in medical education.

Dr. Kasper is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric gastroenterology, and pediatric transplant hepatology.
