Elizabeth James is the director of emergency services at Gateway Healthcare. She started her career with Gateway in 2001 as an emergency services clinician. In 2006, she was promoted to the emergency services supervisor for the after hours program. In 2020, she became the manager of emergency services and in 2023 became the director of emergency services.
James obtained a bachelor's degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida and went on to earn a master's degree from Rhode Island College. She later received a certificate of advanced graduate study from Salve Regina University and is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Rhode Island.
