Michael Lapre, MEd, BCBA, LBA earned his master’s degree in special education from Cambridge College and completed his behavior analyst certification coursework through Bridgewater State University. He has worked with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities since 2013, serving in roles including direct care staff, classroom teacher, and board certified behavior analyst.
Lapre has extensive experience supporting individuals with severe and complex challenging behaviors across residential, educational, and hospital-based settings. His clinical interests include functional behavior assessment, treatment of aggression and self-injurious behavior, skill acquisition programming, and interdisciplinary collaboration within acute and long-term care environments.
Lapre previously worked on Bradley Hospital’s Children’s Autism Developmental Disabilities (CADD) Unit as direct care staff, where he developed a strong foundation in crisis intervention, milieu-based treatment, and team-centered care. In his current role as a BCBA, he emphasizes data-driven decision-making, staff training and coaching, and the development of practical, sustainable behavior support plans that prioritize safety, dignity, and quality of life.
