Susan Dickstein, PhD is adjunct associate professor in the Brown Medical School, Departments of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Pediatrics. For two decades, Dr. Dickstein was director of the Bradley Hospital Early Childhood Clinical Research Center and collaborated on research within the realm of developmental psychopathology, attachment theory, family risk, maternal depression, and early childhood mental health. Dr. Dickstein is a founding member and current Executive Director of the Rhode Island Association for Infant Mental Health (RIAIMH). RIAIMH is RI's only statewide organization specializing in workforce development, infant mental health competency-informed training, reflection consultation, and endorsement credentialing for professionals who serve infants, young children, and their families.

Dr. Dickstein is a licensed clinical psychologist and member of the World Association for Infant Mental Health and Zero to Three. She is a founding partner and former President of the Board of the international Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health. Dr. Dickstein has earned Infant Mental Health Endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Clinical Mentor.
