Nurse Practitioner

Andrea Pereira is a nurse practitioner with the Neurovascular Center at Rhode Island Hospital. As a member of the inpatient advanced practice provider (APP) team, she specializes in neurointerventional radiology and vascular neurology.

Prior to joining Brown University Health, Pereira worked as a cardiac telemetry nurse at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. She then advanced her career and worked as a nurse practitioner in cardiology at Hawthorn Medical Associates in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rhode Island College and a master’s degree in nursing from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts.

She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds certification in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support from the American Heart Association.

She is proficient in Portuguese.
