Ashish Misri, MD is the chief medical officer at Saint Anne’s Hospital, where he is responsible for all quality, safety, and clinical operations. He divides his time between Saint Anne’s and Rhode Island hospitals, where he serves as associate director of hospital medicine, and as a practicing hospitalist.

During his years at Rhode Island Hospital, Dr. Misri has had a pivotal role in advancing quality, safety and operational efficiency, through extensive committee leadership and service. In his role as associate chief medical officer, he has chaired and co-chaired committees including Zero Harm, Quality Monitoring and Improvement, and Patient Experience, driving initiatives that reduced preventable harm, improved patient satisfaction, and helped Rhode Island Hospital achieve a Leapfrog Grade "A" rating. His work as physician liaison to nursing succeeded in improving collaboration, communication, and efficiency between providers and staff.

Dr. Misri holds a medical degree from St. Johns Medical College, in Bangalore, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University and Memorial Hospital and is a graduate of the AAMC’s CMO Executive Leadership Program. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Association for Physician Leadership as well as the Society of Hospital Medicine.
