Christine Paula Lewis-de los Angeles, MD, PhD

Pediatrician

C. Paula Lewis-de los Angeles is an attending pediatrician in Hasbro Children’s primary care and an assistant professor of pediatrics on the clinician-educator track at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. At the Healthy Eating Active Living Through Hasbro (HEALTH) clinic, she is particularly focused on integrated obesity care, bringing together psychological and medical wellness while addressing social and environmental drivers of obesity. She is deeply committed to advocating for healthy nutrition and activity across all communities. Dr. Lewis-de los Angeles has taught medical students at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University where she also serves as a mentor to students as part of the school’s doctoring program.

She earned a combined medical degree and doctoral degree in neuroscience from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL, where she was recognized for her accomplishments in research and compassionate patient care. She later graduated from the Triple Board Residency Program at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, where she was a chief resident in her final year. Dr. Lewis-de los Angeles has a master’s degree in education from Harvard University.

Dr. Lewis-de los Angeles has co-authored numerous research articles and presented at many medical conferences and meetings. Her current research focuses on med-psych phenomenon as well as the effect of early life experiences on child development.
