Colm McCarthy, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with advanced expertise in joint reconstruction. His clinical focus includes the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, as well as primary and revision hip and knee replacement.

He has a particular interest in robotic-assisted joint surgery and the integration of advanced technologies to support precision surgical techniques and patient-guided recovery.

Dr. McCarthy earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He also completed a master of science degree in health science education. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where he also pursued a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery. He went on to complete a fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard University.

Dr. McCarthy is certified in orthopedic surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and is an active member of the organization. He has received several honors, including the Canadian Medical Association’s Young Leader Award, the Ontario Medical Association’s Resident Achievement Award, and the Royal College’s Leadership Award.
