“Find a Doctor” is operated by Brown University Health and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Brown University Health-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Courtnie Beaubian, MD
Psychiatrist
Courtnie Beaubian, MD, is a psychiatrist with Brown University Health's Adult Gender and Sexuality Behavioral Health Program and with the Women’s Behavioral Medicine Program in Providence, RI.
Prior to joining Brown University Health, Dr. Beaubian worked as a research assistant for two major research studies focused on better understanding the psychological issues surrounding suicide. In 2020, she won an American Psychiatric Association Area 3 Resident-Fellow Member Merit Award for her engagement and work with the association.
Dr. Beaubian earned a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She completed a general surgery internship at Hofstra University’s Zucker School of Medicine and a psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition, she was a psychoanalysis fellow at the Washington-Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
Dr. Beaubian is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of LGBTQ+ Psychiatrists, Black Psychiatrists of America, and the Association of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry.
