Cyrus R. Gilbert, MD

Director for Consultation Liaison Psychiatry

Cyrus Gilbert, MD, serves as the director for consultation liaison psychiatry for Brown University Health’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services and teaches medical students, residents, and fellows as a faculty member of The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He went on to complete a psychiatry residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he served as chief resident, and remained at Hopkins for further training as the Alexander Wilson Schweizer Fellow in Mood Disorders.

Dr. Gilbert is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has contributed to the field through research published in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national medical conferences. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
