Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. DaeHee Kim, MD
Interventional Radiologist
Daehee Kim, MD, is an interventional radiologist who uses the latest minimally invasive techniques and technology to treat patients with cancer. Prior to joining the Brown University Health Cancer Institute, Dr. Kim was with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, where he specialized in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma.
At Brown University Health, Dr. Kim works on all types of cancer and tumors including liver, lung, colon, and gynecologic cancer in addition to his prior expertise in rare tumors such as desmoid tumor. He also specializes in many complex cancer-associated diseases, for example, deep vein thrombosis (blood clots) and lymphatic disorder.
Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the novel treatment options for rare tumors and the synergy between interventional radiology and immunotherapy.
Dr. Kim is a two-time recipient of the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America Research and Education Foundation, which he received in 2017 and 2018. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts and his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Kim is fluent in Korean.
