At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. She is the director of interventional cardiology and cardiac catheterization laboratories at Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital.
Dr. Abbott is also associate chief of faculty development and academic advancement in the Division of Cardiology, and a professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Her clinical research program focuses on percutaneous coronary intervention and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Abbott is an associate editor of the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
Dr. Abbott received her medical degree from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
