Jordan Hebert, DO

Jordan Herbert, DO, is a surgeon with Brown Health Medical Group Surgery and specializes in abdominal wall reconstruction, metabolic weight loss surgery, and anti-reflux surgery. In addition, he is a clinical instructor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Before joining Brown Health, Dr. Herbert served as a minimally invasive surgeon at South County Medical Group in Wakefield, RI, and a robotic surgery program medical director and bariatric, foregut, and abdominal wall reconstruction surgeon at The Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Care New England Medical Group in Warwick.

Dr. Herbert has collaborated on peer-reviewed research published in academic journals and has presented at conferences.

He received a medical degree in osteopathic medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Herbert completed a general surgery internship from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Stratford, NJ, a general surgery residency at Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ, and an advanced gastrointestinal, minimally invasive surgery, and bariatric surgery fellowship at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD.

Dr. Herbert is a board member of the Rhode Island Society of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
