Vice Chair of Pediatric Education, Pediatric Intensivist, Pediatric Critical Care

Katherine E. Mason, MD, is a board-certified specialist in pediatric critical care medicine at Hasbro Children’s. After obtaining her medical degree at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. Mason spent the following several years in Cleveland, where she most recently served as director for subspecialty fellowship training programs at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. She is now the vice chair for education for the department of pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s.

Dr. Mason is an associate professor and teaching scholar.

Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented on the local and national levels. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Communication in Healthcare.
