Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Kathleen P. Fava, MS, ACNP, CRNP is a certified registered nurse practitioner with Brown Health Medical Group – Obstetrics and Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecology.
She has more than 15 years of experience working at Rhode Island Hospital and Women and Infant's Hospital specializing in gynecology and gynecologic oncology within an ambulatory and acute care setting.
She completed her acute care nurse practitioner certification at the University of Rhode Island, where she also earned a master of science degree with a specialization in nursing education. She obtained a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Rhode Island College.
Fava is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioner's in Women's Health, The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, and The Menopause Society.
Her interests are menopause, post operative care, and promoting women’s health and preventative care.
