Lauren M. Hall, MD, is a physiatrist specializing in spinal cord injury medicine.

Dr. Hall earned a medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School where she completed an internship in internal medicine. She completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and a spinal cord injury medicine fellowship at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Her clinical and academic interests span the acute and longitudinal management of individuals with spinal cord injury, including the prevention and treatment of complications such as spasticity, neurogenic bowel and bladder, and autonomic dysfunction. Her academic interests include epidural stimulation in spinal cord injury, the effect of genetic variability on neurorecovery and women’s health after spinal cord injury, with the goal of advancing personalized and equitable approaches to lifelong spinal cord injury are. As medical director, she manages the rehabilitation of patients with neurologic, medical, and orthopedic injuries, while maintaining an outpatient longitudinal clinic for individuals with spinal cord injury.

She is an active member of several professional associations and organizations including the American Spinal Injury Association, the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Hall has presented at numerous conferences and collaborated on medical research published in academic journals.
