Marcella Calhoun Radano, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist with the division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition, and Liver Diseases at Hasbro Children’s.
Dr. Radano’s research interests are in aerodigestive and allergic gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. In addition to both of these areas, she has expertise in obesity.
She holds a medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Radano completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s, the pediatric division of Rhode Island Hospital. She pursued a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Prior to joining Brown University Health, Dr. Radano was an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was an attending physician and assistant professor of pediatric gastroenterology at Tufts Medical Center.
Dr. Radano was named one of Boston magazine's Top Doctors in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
She is a member of North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and the Nutrition and the Aerodigestive Society.
