Marwan Saad, MD, PhD is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in complex coronary and transcatheter structural and valvular heart interventions. He is the director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and the director of interventional structural heart research at the Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute. He is also an assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Saad earned his medical degree and PhD in clinical research from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School/Trinitas Regional Medical Center, followed by a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He subsequently completed advanced fellowships in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease at Brown University.

Dr. Saad is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, as well as adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI), and the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).

Dr. Saad serves as principal and co-investigator in numerous multicenter randomized trials, including EVOLVE-MI, TAVR UNLOAD, AGENT-IDE, and CORCINCH-HF. His research focuses on improving outcomes of coronary and structural heart interventions, particularly in high-risk patient populations. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and is a peer reviewer for several leading cardiovascular journals, as well as a faculty member at major national and international cardiology conferences.
