Matthew Ballenberger is a board-certified physician specializing in in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with the Center for Advanced Lung Care and an assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.

Dr. Ballenberger has collaborated on medical research published in academic journals and authored book chapters.

He earned a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Ballenberger completed a residency in internal medicine and a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and a sleep medicine fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital.

He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the American Medical Association.
