Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Matthew D. Willis, MD
Co-Director, Hasbro Children's Partial Hospital Program
As a pediatrician, child psychiatrist, and adult psychiatrist, Matthew Willis, MD, MPH is the co-director of Hasbro Children’s Partial Hospital Program. He previously served as the director of its Selya 6 inpatient medical/psychiatry program.
Dr. Willis obtained both a doctor of medicine and a master of public health degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed a Triple Board Residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, where he was appointed chief resident of the program during his final year. Upon graduation, he joined the Hasbro Children’s Partial Hospital Program as an attending physician. He has also held clinical positions with the Selya 6 program and emergency department at Hasbro Children’s, and the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program at Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children’s.
Dr. Willis is an associate professor in the department of psychiatry and human behavior at Brown University, where he works with trainees at multiple levels of training at Rhode Island and Hasbro Children’s hospitals. He is a four-time recipient of the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Awards and sits on several university academic committees.
Dr. Willis holds board certifications in pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. He is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
