Matthew Werger, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Morton Hospital.

Before joining Morton Hospital, Dr. Werger worked as an orthopedic surgeon at Pro Sports Orthopedics in Boston, Tampa General Hospital, and in Germany and South Korea as an officer in the US Air Force.

Dr. Werger has presented at conferences and collaborated on peer reviewed research published in academic journals.

He earned a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Werger completed his residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and an adult orthopedic reconstruction and arthritis surgery fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute.

Dr. Werger is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
