Pieter Storm de Klerk, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with the Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute. He holds additional board certifications in vascular medicine, endovascular medicine, and echocardiographic/vascular imaging interpretation.

Dr. de Klerk has collaborated on research published in peer-reviewed academic journals. 

He received a medical degree (MBBS, equivalent to an MD) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Dr. de Klerk completed his general medical internship at Ngwelezana Hospital in South Africa, followed by an internal medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital/the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He subsequently completed fellowships in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular and endovascular medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. de Klerk has collaborated on research published in peer-reviewed academic journals and serves as a primary site investigator for multiple actively enrolling clinical trials.

He is a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
