Raymond Cord, PA, is a board-certified physician assistant who began his career in 1991 in general and vascular surgery after earning his master’s degree from Northeastern University. He joined the cardiac surgery team at The Miriam Hospital in 1995 and transitioned to the cardiac surgery team at Rhode Island Hospital in 2005. Cord has participated in multiple research trials as a sub-investigator, published numerous abstracts, and gained several years of experience in hypertension and nephrology. 

His interests include critical care of the cardiac surgery patient and clinical informatics. He has held multiple leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels, including serving multiple terms as president of the Rhode Island Academy of PAs. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct assistant clinical professor at Johnson and Wales University and has been a clinical preceptor for most of his career.
