Shirin Sioshansi, MD

Radiation Oncologist

Shirin Sioshansi, MD, is a radiation oncologist with Brown University Health Cancer Institute’s radiation oncology department. Her research focus is liver stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).

Prior to joining Brown Health, Dr. Sioshansi was with UMass Memorial Medical Center’s department of radiation oncology in Worcester, where she was medical director of the hepatocellular program.

She earned a medical degree at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. She completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas and a residency in radiation oncology at Tufts Medical Center, Boston.

She served previously on the faculty of UMass Medical School and Tufts Medical School. She has presented at numerous conferences and collaborated on medical research published in academic journals.

Dr. Sioshansi is a reviewer for several professional journals including Lancet Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology. She is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Brachytherapy Society, and Massachusetts Medical Society.
