Substance Use Disorders Treatment at Gateway Healthcare

Gateway Healthcare provides high quality, integrated co-occurring (substance use and mental health) treatment services to clients in the least restrictive environment that stresses harm reduction and continuous improvement. Pathways Addiction Counseling Services (PACS) invites individuals facing a substance use disorder, their friends and families, and medical providers to engage with its program aimed at recovery and empowerment. This program provides tools and support for individuals at any stage of their recovery journey. PACS provides outpatient and intensive outpatient services to adults.

PACS services include:

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Short-term case management
  • Toxicology screens where required
  • Psychiatric rehabilitation services
  • Peer recovery coaching
  • Pharmacological and medical assisted treatment

Related programs include:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Gateway IOP services provide intensive clinical interventions three hours/day for least 3 days/week. During the program, clients participate in individual therapy, group counseling, family counseling, psychoeducation session, and pharmacological treatment as recommended.

Driver Re-Training Program

Gateway is a DMV-approved provider of court-imposed alcohol education retraining for individuals who have been charged with a DUI in Rhode Island. Successful completion of the program results in reinstatement of the individual’s driver’s license.
