Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine Team
The Brown University Health Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine team cares for adults age 65 and older, with a focus on conditions common in aging such as dementia, frailty, falls, and chronic illnesses. We work with patients and families to support health, independence, and quality of life.
Our physicians also provide palliative care for people living with serious or complex medical conditions. This includes managing symptoms, helping patients understand their treatment options, and coordinating care across settings.
Our physicians have specialized training in geriatrics or palliative medicine and hold faculty appointments at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. We provide care in outpatient clinics, long term care and assisted living facilities, and through inpatient consultation services at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital.
