HIV is a chronic condition that can be managed well with treatment and social support. The Infectious Diseases and Immunology Clinic located at The Miriam Hospital, provides exceptional care to more than 2,100 people living with HIV in the clinic’s service area, which is about 80% of people living with HIV in Rhode Island. The clinic is supported by the federal Ryan White program and offers care to patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
Care at Infectious Diseases and Immunology Clinic is provided by clinicians who are leaders in the field for the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). They are supported by a team of nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other medical staff to ensure patients have the resources they need to live well and thrive.
