Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers, affecting nearly 68,000 people in the United States each year. It is important to know the risk factors for developing bladder cancer so you can make changes to lower your risk. However, some risk factors, like a person’s gender or age, cannot be changed. If you know you are at higher risk, certain tests can help detect bladder cancer early, when treatment would be most effective.
