About Pediatric Hematology / Oncology
At the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at Hasbro Children’s, we understand how frightening it is to have your child diagnosed with a serious illness. Every parent or caregiver is upset and uncertain in that moment — and it goes without saying that they want the best, most up-to-date care for their child.
Nursing Excellence in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Tracy Hennessey, RN, a nurse on Hasbro 5, has been taking care of pediatric hematology/oncology patients for more than 20 years. In her own words, Tracy shares her experience as she went from being a patient's mom to a nurse.
Our team of highly skilled specialists provides comprehensive care and innovative treatments to pediatric and young adult patients with blood disorders or cancer. Every patient and their family are at the center of all we do. We provide world-class care right here at home, and will support you every step of the way.
As an academic affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, we teach; pursue local, national, and international clinical research; and partner with community health organizations to protect and improve the health of Rhode Islanders and residents of surrounding communities.
