Treatment for children's sleep disorders varies with the type of disorder. Many disorders respond best to behavioral or environmental changes, while some respond well to medical treatment. Modifying behaviors or altering sleep schedules can be very effective in managing a number of common sleep disorders. Those that are caused by a physiological condition may be improved by treating the primary disorder or may be treated in conjunction with a chronic condition.
Treating Sleep Disorders
The pediatric sleep program's team of experts will determine the optimal treatment for each individual child in close consultation with caregivers. Families leave the program after their initial evaluation with a detailed written treatment plan and steps for follow-up care. Follow-up visits are scheduled as often as necessary.
