About Pediatric Trauma Care

Our trauma team is specially trained to evaluate and treat even the most complicated injuries. Many children can be evaluated and treated in the emergency department. Severely injured children may need to be admitted to the hospital or may even need emergency surgery. The Trauma Center at Hasbro Children’s is committed to ensuring that children with injuries of all types receive the best evaluation and treatment possible. At Hasbro Children’s, we care for more than 11,000 children each year who suffer traumatic injuries.

It takes a dedicated team of clinicians to treat trauma in children, including the most severe of injuries. Our specially trained pediatric physicians include specialists in:

Rhode Island Hospital and its pediatric division Hasbro Children’s are also home to The Rhode Island Burn Center, the state’s only burn center accredited by the American Burn Association.

Hasbro Children’s trauma care is provided in a state-of-the-art setting with the most advanced diagnostic equipment and operating rooms. We also offer a full spectrum of rehabilitation services to help patients in their recovery.
