Referrals
Our expertise and patient-centered approach set us apart. Each patient is assessed at each visit by a specially trained nurse to determine the treatment dose for that visit. Our nurses assess treatment dosage based on the patient’s skin type, medications and the regularity of their appointments and attendance. In addition, our staff will provide you with clinical updates every three months, so you are informed on your patient’s progress.
Referrals to our phototherapy department and treatment prescriptions are made by a dermatology provider. Patients referred to our program by other types of providers will first be seen by our medical director, Abar Qureshi, MD. Phototherapy is delivered for several seconds to several minutes per treatment, usually two to three times per week, depending on the patient and the diagnosis. Insurance authorizations for these treatments will be completed by our department.
