The SafeQuest program at Bradley Hospital is an intensive after-school program for children and adolescents who are at risk for self-harm and/or who are suffering from significant mood or anxiety disorders. There are several program offerings depending on the child’s age and diagnosis. SafeQuest runs five days a week from 3 to 7 p.m. SafeQuest nurses, social workers, psychiatrists and behavioral health technicians, and staff work collaboratively with parents to provide the best services possible to assist each child. Snacks will be available to program participants.
The length of time each child participates in the program is determined by parents and program staff members, and is reviewed on a weekly basis. The goals of the program include reducing or eliminating self-harmful behaviors, lessening hospital stays, and improving coping skills.
