Free Skin Check for Skin Cancer
Friday, August 15, 2025 at 1:30 to 3:30p.m.
Get a free, private skin cancer screening by expert dermatologists this summer. Presented jointly by NBC10 (WJAR), Brown Dermatology, the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island, Brown University Health Community Health Institute, Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM), Skin Check will be held at several Rhode Island locations in July and August.

Event Details
The first 100 people at each event will be screened by dermatologists and dermatology residents affiliated with Brown Dermatology. Those who require a follow-up will be referred for dermatology consults.
All screenings are free and open to the public.
Attendees should wear a bathing suit or clothing that will be easy to remove.
