At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Dana B. Morris, PhD
Psychologist
Dana Morris, PhD is a licensed psychologist at the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Brown University Health, where she serves as both the belonging and engagement coordinator and the resident coordinator.
Dr. Morris earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division, and her post-doctoral fellowship in general mental health at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University through the Providence VA.
She is a clinical generalist with expertise in mindfulness and acceptance-based behavioral therapies, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance-enhanced exposure-based treatments. Dr. Morris tailors these interventions to the unique goals and needs of each client, fostering a collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic space.
Dr. Morris is also passionate about clinical supervision and uses a hybrid model that blends competency-based supervision with the SEED framework (Safe space, Exploring function, Experiential practice, and Deliberate training).
Her research interests focus on improving treatment outcomes, service delivery, and equity in behavioral health care, particularly within partial hospital settings. Her work includes program evaluation of interventions such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with attention to variables related to grief symptoms, patient dropout rates, and transdiagnostic factors. Additionally, she is involved in research aimed at improving the science and practice of behavior analysis.
