Daniella Palermo, MD

Assistant Director, Adult Partial Hospital Program

Daniella Palermo, MD is the assistant director of the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Brown University Health, as well as a staff psychiatrist. She is a board-certified psychiatrist with Brown Health Medical Group and provides care for individuals navigating complex psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Palermo is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves as the curriculum director for Brown’s General Psychiatry Residency Program. She is passionate about medical education and is a two-time recipient of The Warren Alpert Medical School’s Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York and completed her adult psychiatry residency at Brown University, where she served as chief resident.

Dr. Palermo is a contributing author to Clinical Sleep Medicine: A Comprehensive Guide for Mental Health and Other Medical Professionals and the Psychiatry Resident Handbook: How to Thrive in Training. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training.
