“Find a Doctor” is operated by Brown University Health and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Brown University Health-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.
Sarah Dennewitz, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Sarah Dennewitz, LMFT, is a licensed clinical therapist with Brown University Health’s Partial Hospital Program who has a primary focus in the co-occurring track. Her areas of interest and training include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), systems theory and relationship dynamics, and solution-focused strategies within a positive psychology framework.
Prior to joining the Partial Hospital Program, Dennewitz worked as a licensed outpatient therapist on the adult outpatient services team at Gateway Healthcare at the South Shore Center in Charlestown, RI, where she saw individuals and couples. She previously worked at psychological centers in Providence, specializing in couples and sex therapy.
Dennewitz earned a master’s degree in human development and family studies with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from the University of Rhode Island. She is licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She is also a certified sex therapist and member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
