The role of the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) is to protect the rights and welfare of research participants through regulatory compliance, education, monitoring and community engagement. Brown University Health’s HRPP works together with institutional stakeholders in achieving the common goal to protect research participants in the conduct of human research.
The mission of HRPP is to safeguard and promote the health and welfare of human research subjects by ensuring that their rights, safety, and well-being are protected; provide timely and high-quality education, review, and monitoring of human research projects; and facilitate excellence in human subjects’ research.
