The Miriam Hospital Ranked #1 in Rhode Island

U.S. News & World Report released its 2025-2026 Best Hospitals ratings today; The Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital and Saint Anne’s Hospital were recognized in the annual rankings, with The Miriam Hospital being named the top hospital in Rhode Island, and all three hospitals receiving “high performing” scores in specialty care.

The Miriam Hospital has earned the honor of top hospital in Rhode Island for 14 straight years, starting with U.S. News & World Report's first state rankings in 2012-2013.

U.S. News also gave the hospital “high performing” rankings for its excellence in care and treatment in the following eight conditions and adult specialty areas:

For the 2025-2026 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 U.S. hospitals across 15 specialties and 22 procedures and conditions; only one third of them earned an award. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and preventable complications.
