Clinical Lead, Adult Partial Hospital BEAR and Young Adult Tracks

Joseph Donahue, PhD is a staff psychologist who provides clinical leadership for the Building Emotional Acceptance and Regulation (BEAR) Track and Young Adult Track in the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Brown University Health. He focuses on acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies.

Dr. Donahue earned a master’s degree in psychology and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University at Albany/State University of New York. He completed his internship in psychology at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) Consortium with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VASDHS/UCSD). While at VASDHS/UCSD, Dr. Donahue completed rotations in Rady Children’s Hospital Child Adolescent Psychiatry Services and the UCSD Eating Disorder Center for Treatment and Research, where he also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship.
