Leo Costa, is a registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner at the Men’s Health Center. His areas of expertise are andrology and sexual health.
He works with patients in their pursuit of healthy lifestyle changes, conducts screenings to assess and address their individual conditions, manages testosterone therapy, and provides at-home visits to help them more easily manage their treatments.
Prior to joining the center, he was a charge nurse for nearly a decade at The Miriam Hospital, where he served in the specialized care unit and medical-surgical unit, as well as in the float pool. Before joining The Miriam, Leo was a private nurse, caring for patients in their homes.
After earning an associate degree in nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island, Leo continued his education, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Salve Regina University. He then pursued a master of science degree in nursing from Regis College, where he focused on the family nurse practitioner track. He completed clinical rotations at the Brown University Health STI Clinic, WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care, and at The Miriam Hospital.
